So, what can you do to take care of some of your skin issues and have healthier happier skin?

Acne Issues

Tea tree oil has been used for many years to treat a variety of skin issues, acne being one of the major ones. For facial acne, you can add a couple of drops to your cleanser to clean acne and help clear up flare-ups quicker. For back acne, you can mix it in with your body wash, and just make sure to use a washing brush of some sort to make sure you get your back cleaned well with the oil.

Aging Issues

According to Dr. Gail Westhoven, age spots and wrinkles are two of the most prevalent issues that appear as aging sets in. This is normal, but you should be sure to bring them up with your dermatologist at your annual skin cancer screening appointment. If the spots are just normal discoloration that comes with are, you can find different creams that help lighten age spots, but you’re better off using fresh lemon juice to help lighten them which is a much safer and more skin-friendly treatment.

For wrinkles, there are an array of anti-aging creams and treatments out there, but you may find the best treatments inside your own pantry. Both olive oil and coconut oil can help with dry skin and help get rid of those annoying wrinkles, and they are both safe enough to even use by your eyes (just don’t get any in them).

Allergy Issues

If you get hives from allergies or contact dermatitis, you know that the itching can drive you crazy. This treatment is also great for any dry and itchy skin issues. Get some oatmeal and soak in a bath of oatmeal, or wet it and put a poultice on the itchy area and let it sit for a while. Oatmeal is soothing and helps relieve itch.

Other Skin Issues

There are many other skin issues that different people come across. If you suffer from plantar warts during the summer, whether they are on your feet or hands, you can use all sorts of tricks, like rubbing banana peels on them or covering them with duct tape. These classic tricks work for some, and not for others.

If you suffer from skin tags you know they aren’t life-threatening, but depending on where they are located they could be annoying. Look for natural ingredient-based skin tag removal products that can be used on sensitive skin and even around the eyes.

You don’t have to accept that your skin is flawed when there are so many great products, and even great items already in your home, that can help your skin look gorgeous even when you have a breakout or an allergic reaction to something.
